greatlightother: (you hurt my feelings)
[It sounds as if she's just finished crying. There's a clink as she drops a spoon onto a dish and she finally speaks up.]

I said...I hope it goes down. [There's a nervous giggle.] But I don't know where down is. [Pause as the ship rumbles a bit. She takes in a trembling breath.] Looks like I was right, though.

Who knew that I would have them back? Who knew it would work like this?

I looked out my door today and saw the Darkness. I didn't know that Light Sorceress could curse people like this. Because that's what it is, you realize. It's not a flood. It's not...anything the Admiral has done. Condemn him if you like. It's more futile than usual.

[She turns on the camera. Those mentioned in the post who could see the curse will be able to see the vortex around her, invading her room. Barge magic, yeah]

I almost destroyed Moscow last time this happened. Last time, it was unintentional. Last time, they could talk me down from it and I could be saved from their...alternative method. [A bitter laugh.] Death.

They said once you pick a side that you can't change to the other one. Light to Darkness...all of that. I don't see why. It's so much easier to hate like this, isn't it? When you've been pushed so far, when so many people have kicked you in the face, it's easy to fall.

That's what power is, isn't it, O'Brien? [She reaches forward to turn off the transmission before she starts crying again. Then pauses.]

Someone might want to check on Petronilla. [BECAUSE SHE'S NOT. That's all!]
greatlightother: (smirk)
[The screen is filled with Sveta's fingers. Half of them are painted purple. The other half aren't.]

Hmm. What do you think? Should I stay with the purple? [She moves her hand and then glances to someone off screen.] What do you think? [The doctor doesn't wait for a reaction. Instead, she shifts the camera to reveal Angelica, dressed in her finest drag, behind her. The other woman is diligently cleaning a gun, and Sveta really doesn't seem to mind it.] I'll just stay with it. It seems to fit the suit, doesn't it?

[When Angelica didn't give her the attention she wanted, Sveta walks over and sits across from her, putting the camera to the side to show both of them. Sveta's lips adopt a bit of a pout as she addresses the barge.]

You see what I have to work with? A workaholic. No time for fashion advice. [Now for serious business.] Needless to say, the infirmary's closed today. I won't be seeing any patients. Support staff...well, you have the day off. [Have a smile. Angelica finally looks over and, after placing the pistol down, pulls Sveta's legs into her lap.]

Perhaps it best to just avoid the infirmary altogether, unless your wish is to have your skull shot full of holes. [And then the woman lets out a chilling laugh, leaving Sveta to just shake her head.]

Well, [the doctor muttered] I was trying to be subtle.
greatlightother: (I fake smile because I care)
[Sveta's cheery. Very...very cheery. Almost back to her normal self only...well, slightly evil. She's also affected, but...really, really doesn't care.]

Well. Another flood. Another batch of people leaving.

And we're surprised? The Admiral lets all sorts of people here and then just takes them away. Hmm. Why are all of our authority figures slightly deranged. Mine? My authority figure, the one I had at home, was part of a group of people called the Inquisition. And they lorded over all of us.

And Maxim...that's his name...told me that I needed to kill all the Dark Others- that would be, well, basically inmates. [Pause. She didn't really mean to say that. BUT OH WELL.]

See?

Slightly deranged. [She sighs dramatically.]
greatlightother: (you really wanna go there?)
Well, well, well...another day here. [Sveta's in her room, dressed in one of her suits, looking quite professional and well put together. It's a good substitute for leather. She passes by the camera, smiling sweetly.]

Doesn't it get tiring? Doesn't it get so boring to be here? With the days going by so slowly? I've been here long enough to see my friends come and go. Be in and out of comas, and there's really nothing more to be done about it.

[She sits down in front of the camera, completely at ease.] Not that I'm complaining. It's just a statement of fact. You can't trust anyone to stay around. But you really shouldn't. What good are they going to do for you anyway?

[OOC: Yes, this is nanomited Sveta. She's lost all faith in people, and it's allowing all of those squished down things she's been thinking to come out.]
