[Sveta's back, friends! She's on the deck, dressed as if going to a ceremony. A long white dress whispers around her ankles and her hair falls loose around her face. She looks as if she had been crying once, but has since brushed it off, revealing only a few faint splotches of red around her eyes. She sets the camera down and takes a deep breath.]

Destiny. We're all supposed to have one, yes? We're all supposed to follow it. But I never knew you could change it.

[She holds up her hands to show them. They're covered in a faint white dust which she brushes off quickly, creating a small cloud.]

Chalkdust. [She gives the camera a very serious look.] It might as well be bloodstains. [She reaches into a small purse and pulls out a cigarette, lighting it quickly. Yeah. Sveta smokes. Enjoy that.]

Fuck them. I'm not going back.

I can erase Destiny. They asked me to erase the Destiny of a young boy.

[Private to Howie]

I'm back. [A soft laugh.] Obviously. He didn't stop me.

[Filtered to Friends]

Give me tonight. Then tomorrow, get me drunk. Or something.

I know. [She smiled at him sadly.] Going back and being with them...it was like I had never left.

I mean, here, not... not smoking. [He smiled at her a little.] Although, are you going to keep doing that?

I remembered everything. [She wasn't sure if that was good or not.]

I do apologise for my concern. The talk of chalk and blood has perturbed me.

[That was... strange, but he was glad she hadn't just forgotten him.] Did you decide not to tell them, then?

[After a moment he shook his head,] Not a problem at all. I just wondered, and it surprised me, nothing more than that.

I can keep it on me. I'm the only person I can trust with it.

It's alright, Victor. I'm just a little upset about what happened at home. I really do thank you for being concerned.

I can't tell them. They would react like Maxim did. I don't care if he's upset with me but... [she paused, looking down] the disappointment from them would be worse. Olga. Tiger Cub. Anton. [She pulled her hair back and tied it up.] I don't want that.

Because they're relying on you to do something you don't want to do? [He frowned.]

Is leaving them really better than the disappointment? [It was an honest question, not trying to push her one way or another.]

The chalk is more dangerous than the cube. It should never be used.

Yes. The Boss knows where I am. He knows everything. And Olga...Olga is better for this. I know that he'll find a way. With me gone, they have to find a way for her to take my place.

[She sighed.]

[Howie frowned. He didn't quite like that thought, as leaving someone else to end up doing the exact same as you didn't seem like... an entirely moral choice, but he had to remind himself that he couldn't sit here and judge, not tonight. He was determined to help and not say anything to make it worse.]

Will Olga be prepared to do it? [He couldn't quite help at least ask. That would make it better in his mind, anyway.]

She was prepared to do it. She's been doing it for hundreds of years. She...this is what she was supposed to do before but...she made a mistake. [Sveta sighed.] It means that she can be herself again. She can have her powers back.

[After she finished her tea, Sveta buried her face in her heads again.]

[Pause. And then.] Oh, please. Don't get all bitter at me. You got caught out in a lie. Look lady, I don't care who you've killed. But there's no way that you can change that much memory without ending up in an asylum. I may not be from the same place as the rest of you, but I still know how working works.

I'll try and spell the box myself.

[He felt distinctly better for hearing that, as it wasn't at least, inflicting the same thing on someone else.]

I'm sorry you had to go through all of that at home, Sveta.

[pause]
